For an efficient purging process with gaseous media no special internal design is required. This is not the case for steam and liquids where the industry demands equipment with CIP compatibility. CIP compatibility can now be achieved with the SR-5 and SR-8 pressure reducing and back-pressure regulators. The valve can be maintained in the open position with the internal volume being fully drainable. The body material is stainless steel 316L with a surface finish of Ra 0.5 µm. Both products are available with Tri-Clamp fittings with sizes ranging from ½ to 1½”. The high control accuracy in combination with the superior flow performance is achieved by the use of a precise diaphragm/valve combination. Leak rate across the valve seat meets the ANSI Class VI standard. In addition to the body material certificate, FDA conformity documents are available for media wetted plastic parts like PTFE and EPDM.
